Claudio Farina, born in 1975, in Snam since 2017, is Executive Vice President Digital Transformation & Technology of Snam, with responsibility for leading the technological roadmap, ICT and digital transformation. He is also Executive Vice President of Technologies and Industrial Innovation. Previously he was Head of the Office CEO team, leading cross-functional projects in operational improvement, start-up and scale up of new businesses and support to the CEO, and Senior Vice President Planning and Control BU Asset Italy with responsibility for planning and control over investments and operating costs of Italian assets. Prior to joining Snam, he held various positions at Vodafone Italia for 9 years, including Head of Financial Planning, Analysis & Business Intelligence and Head of Strategy, Responsible for Leading Strategic Projects for the CEO, including 4G Auction, investments to reduce digital divide, fiber strategy, M&A, strategic partnerships.
From 2000 to 2008 he covered various roles in The Boston Consulting Group, up to Principal, with multi-sector experience in Infrastructure, Energy, Public Transportation, Telecommunications and IT, with 25 projects, including Strategic Plans, Extraordinary Finance Operations and Infrastructure development strategy. In 1999 he was a researcher on industrial policy issues in support of technological innovation at the German Institute of Economic Research in Berlin. He specializes in Industrial Economics with a degree in Political Economics from the Catholic University. He later received a master’s degree in Economics from Bocconi University. Passionate about seeding start-ups, he is an alumnus of Aspen Institute, having been a Junior Fellow from 2008 to 2010.
