Born in 1956 in Forte dei Marmi, Ettore Riello graduated in business economy from Ca’ Foscari University in Venice. He began his career with a two-year experience in the American accounting firm Arthur Andersen; he continued by setting up the finance society Sigla SpA in Conegliano. In 1982 he officially became a part of the family group, at first devoting himself to management control, and then moving on to become managing director of Holding Gruppo Riello and its subsidiary firms. In 1984 he was elected president of the young businessmen’s association in Verona with responsibility for innovation. From 2001 to 1005 he was vice-president of the industrial association in Verona with responsibility for innovation, new services, and internationalization. From 2006 to 2008 he was president of ANIMA, a federation that, at the heart of Confindustria, unites and represents the main businesses in the mechanics sector where he matured a significant experience. Since April 2009 Ettore Riello has been president of Veronafiere, the main organizer of fairs in Italy and among the most important in Europe. The following year he was elected president of AEFI, the association of Italian fairs and exhibitions. Furthermore Riello, already a member of the board of directors of EHI (European Heating Industry), in June 2011 was elected its vice-president; he is also active in the main international associations of the sector. Finally, in October 2013 he was nominated vice-president of EMECA, an association that represents twenty of the main European exhibition and fair organizers.
He is now president and managing director of Riello Group Spa, an industrial holding, a leader in Italy and the world for domestic and residential heating.
