Luciano is in charge of the Open Innovation and Sustainability division of the ELIS Consortium. For the directors of the Consortium he provides strategic consultancy in the field of sustainability and he directs the Open Italy programme to implement projects of co-innovation with startups, small and medium sized businesses and research centres. Because of his passion for technology and agile software development, he was first a researcher and then an expert for the Ministry of the Environnment in the fields of energy, climate and circular economies. After acquiring international experience he became the manager of INVITALIA, a consultancy for large groups such as EBRD, SANOFI and Startupper…. He has published numerous Italian and international books and, together with Pierluigi Sassi, he curated “Cultura d’impresa and Ecologia Integrale” (Business Culture and Integral Ecology). Today he is a lecturer at Wuhan University of Technology in China and at the Department of Business and Management at ERS (Ethics, Responsability and Sustainability) of LUISS University. Luciano has a cum laude degree in Engineering for Energy and Sustainable Devlopment, as well as a PhD in Engineering for Industrial Production from La Sapienza University in Rome; he has been a visiting professor at the University of Surrey and has taken several courses including an Executive Master in Innovation Management with MIP (School of Management at the Politecnica di Milano) and ESCP (European Business School) and he also acquired certification in Strategy and Sustainability in the IESE Business School in Barcellona.
