With over 20 years of experience in venture capital, Paolo Gesess has an in-depth knowledge of the technology investment landscape, with a particular focus on the digital sector. Paolo started working in venture capital in 1998, investing in the ICT sector and collaborating with Telecom Italia’s research center. In 2000 he founded Jupiter Venture, a venture capital fund – among the first in Italy – dedicated to the digital economy and promoted by the Banca Sella Group. Jupiter Venture has invested in several successful companies, including Mutuionline, which led from startup to IPO, as well as Energit, Objectway, and OnlineSIM. In 2013 he co-founded United Ventures to identify and support talented entrepreneurs capable of developing innovative technology companies in sectors with high growth potential at an international level. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Equalum, Credimi, brumbrum, Moneyfarm, and Musixmatch. Paolo graduated in Economics at the University of Turin and is a Chartered Accountant; he has lectured on entrepreneurship and venture capital at Politecnico di Milano, MIP, and Bocconi University.
